Laura purchased the Remento Book as a gift for multiple members of her family and has been delighted by how seriously the entire family has taken the process of exploring and preserving stories. She was excited about how easy Remento made it for everyone in her family to start recording stories, and loves hearing the new content each week. Get the Remento Book for your family too.

We absolutely love Remento in our family. My mom has taken this so seriously and has done such an incredible job. It was truly the perfect gift for her, as well as for my grandparents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and stepmother-in-law.

Why I bought the Remento Book

As a mother of two children of my own, preserving family history for their benefit is something I’ve always thought about. I’ve often thought to myself about the legacy of my parents and grandparents, and how I could manifest their lived experience into something physical for my own children. This was particularly top-of-mind after the passing of my mother’s partner and the feeling of regret I felt that we lost so much with their passing. But as a busy mom, I’ve simply never had time to make the documentation of family history a priority. I wish that wasn’t the case, but it is.

That’s why when I saw Remento, I didn’t hesitate to purchase the product as a holiday gift for my grandparents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and stepmother-in-law. Unlike other products like Storyworth, Remento was clearly designed to make Remento as easy as possible for my family members, which I knew would be important to ultimately ensure our family - and my kids specifically - ended up with a keepsake designed to stand the test of time.

What I like about the Remento Book

Remento has honestly been amazing. Hands down, the entire family has loved it and I’ve been  blown away by how seriously our relatives have taken it. My mom specifically has done such an amazing job. And while my young kids don’t appreciate this content today necessarily, I know they’ll come to treasure these stories and recordings with time. After all, this is their family history.

My mom loves not having to type

My mom loves how easy Remento was for her to use each week. She had tried to document some stories of her past through Shutterfly. but found the process to be time-consuming and tedious. The multitude of decisions to make really overwhelmed her.

That’s why she was so excited that Remento streamlines the process of documenting memories and stories with their Speech-to-Story technology. All she has to do is speak into her favorite device and Remento turns her spontaneous thoughts into a beautifully written narrative. And the quality of the stories that create are really good.

We love learning the stories behind old photos

Through the process of recording these stories, we’ve unearthed literally hundreds of photos from the past. Each of these photos has amazing stories behind them and it’s been amazing to use Remento to learn the stories of so many of them. Remento lets us use these photos either to prompt stories, or they can be uploaded after a story is recorded to bring a recording to life. We're excited to create what we expect may ultimately prove to feel a bit like a "narrated photo album" rich with photos and family history.

Remento is like a family reunion each week

Our entire family really looks forward to getting alerts each week that a new story has been recorded. Honestly, it’s our favorite part, and that’s a bit of a surprise. I originally purchased the product because I was so eager to have physical books of family history, and I loved that Remento made that super easy for my family members. But truthfully, I’m realizing that the recordings use to create those books might be just as meaningful for our family going forward. And thanks to the QR codes in the book that link directly to the stories, we get to enjoy them both together, forever.
